Founded and directed by Laurin Crosson, RockStarr Ministries is a 501(c)(3) that began in 2013 with the idea of a free condom giveaway to be held the weekend before Christmas. Laurin, a survivor of human trafficking herself, had made her way out of the adult industry years earlier. After a woman handing out free condoms told her that God loved her, her heart was touched. Through great difficulties she built a new and better life for herself and vowed to give back to those women still trapped in sex trafficking and sex exploitation. Through Facebook, Laurin encouraged groups of people to join her in giving out free condoms and cupcakes in various cities; thus RockStarr Ministries was born. While many of the volunteers happen to be from the LDS church, there is no requirement or expectation of religious affiliation for the volunteers who join our efforts.

I am third party to some of the actions of Ms. Laurin C. Crosson which are appalling. Apparently Ms. Crosson believes victims of human trafficking should have to clean the house while in recovery. I have seen other facilities force victims into house hold chores in the name of recovery. Not once have I been taught that ANY victim should be liable for house hold chores while they are recovering in fact, most victims will manage stress while in trafficking or domestic violence situations BY cleaning or straightening. As a recovery piece, we don’t want them lapsing into anxious behavior through cleaning or straightening.

These victims fled Rock Star Ministries after Ms. Crosson had called law enforcement on them many times in an attempt to throw them out of the house. When they would not leave because there was no where for them to go, Ms. Crosson again called law enforcement.

I have a text message that was sent to another advocate by Ms. Crosson about these victims. This is a very graphic and abusive text message so please use caution reading it.

“Not like this entitled brat that she’s acting like she is acting so entitled she won’t do a damn thing not even around sucking dick give me a break you’re not listening to me —– WTF?”

I feel Ms. Crosson is an abuser and should never have contact with any victim let alone profess that she provides a safe house that is not safe.
