I applied to get into this program when it first opened. I was 17 and I was homeless and staying with this old guy who was paying me. I filled out all the applications and was ready to go and then they didn’t open. When they finally opened I had turned 18 and they said I was no longer eligible. I ended up being homeless for a year because I told the guy I was leaving and he got mad and then I was in jail for a year for being homeless.
